Coursework: Preliminary exercise 2022


my music video will be a girl who is struggling with school, she doesn't find herself attractive anymore because of her scars, Every other day someone brings her down she make fun out of her and make silly jokes about her scars. The whole point behind this music video is about embracing yourself and finally coming to that conclusion where you feel love and can love yourself. It is a friendly reminder That people are beautiful no matter what.

Casting: i will have 3 different people in my music video, i'll have the teenage girl, someone who mocks her, and someone who tries to comfort the girl. 

Location: in a bedroom, school bathroom, road near her school, a park.

Shot list: a close up of her crying, a shoulder shot of her watching people just walk to school happily while she's dreading the fact that she doesn't want to go in.

  The graphic identity / artist and song name on the white wall background works well. However, if that bit is performance lip-syncing it isn’t synced up correctly so you’ll need to either re-edit it to line it up or re-shoot it if the performance doesn’t match the song. This will be a vital aspect for the real coursework as you’ll need the lip syncing edited perfectly in time. The shots/narrative fit the feel of the song well. I wonder if it’s worth trying some filters or slow motion to increase the emotional intensity of the video? In terms of the narrative/performance element – you only have that little bit of performance at the start. If you are going to have both elements make sure you keep cutting back and forth between the performance and the narrative element.   1) Type up your feedback from both papers in full (you do not need to write marks/grades if you do not wish to).
